Lake Tahoe's Air

Story times: 12/7/2022

Back in 2022, I visited Lake Tahoe for the first time. I don't go out much so to me all these are just fresh and new. Everything felt unfamiliar, raw, wide, and new. 

The motel I stayed in had a broken lock. I slept lightly, with fear under the pillow. But then... I gazed out the window and saw something. What's that called? SNOW?

 So I did something utterly stupid. I opened the window wide, let all the cold rush into me like I wanted to inhale the entire forest. The air was clean. Misty, Frighteningly quiet. So unlike the city. But this kind of cold doesn't hurt; it wakes me up.
