Bùn

This scent was born during my trip back to Vietnam. A quiet wedding in the countryside of Long An, where the roads are dusted with soil, and pigs, ducks, and barefoot kids roam free.

It's not the city. There is no wealth to show off, no grandeur to perform. But in every face, every bowl of tea, every rice field. There is dignity. There is love passed down through modest living.

The scent of Bùn comes from that feeling: “Gần bùn mà chẳng hôi tanh mùi bùn” —close to the mud, yet never smelling of it.

Bùn is for the ones who grow from hardship but carry no bitterness. For those who honor the humble beauty of where they're from. Not of a luxury, but of a memory, and peace. 

• Main notes: Lotus, Osmanthus, Gardenia, Magnolia, White oud, Green tea tincture, Rice powder, rain accord.
