Beneath the Sky

"I went there because I was tired. Not dramatically tired. Just empty.

I didn't pray. I didn't ask for anything. I sat there because the space was quiet enough to hold me without asking questions. The stone was cold. The air felt heavy but clean. It made me realize how small I was, and strangely, that didn't feel bad.

There wasn't any comfort, no noise, no answer, just a moment.

I still remember when I looked up and thought that if this was there was in life. Just standing here, breathing, existing, then that was enough. Not happy. Not healed, just here. Nothing has changed. My problems were still mine. But I felt lighter carrying them."
